Meet the Team: Phelim Dolan, Network Manager Phelim brings circa three decades of telecommunications experience and a calm, people‑first approach to his role as Network Manager at Aurora Telecom.

Phelim’s career has spanned network operations, organisational development, and business process improvement. Whether he’s supporting customer solutions, guiding engineers on site, or shaping internal transformation programmes, Phelim’s focus remains consistent: clarity, collaboration, and building systems that work for everyone. 

What does Phelim enjoy most about his role? The variety — and the people. No two days are ever the same. One day might involve safety discussions with field teams; the next could be planning OpEx budgets or working through new processes with colleagues across the business. But what stands out most for Phelim is the culture: supportive, friendly, willing, and adaptable. As he puts it, things will always change — it’s the attitude of the team that makes progress possible. 

Phelim highlights that customers consistently comment on this personal connection. At Aurora Telecom, they’re not greeted by a system or an automated message. They interact directly with the people behind the work — real teams solving real challenge. 

Outside of work, Phelim enjoys playing music, writing, watching rugby, and experimenting in the kitchen — often in friendly MasterChef‑style competitions with his daughter.
